Paul the Zombie

Paul the Zombie is just a normal guy trying to live his every day life. Some say his coming is a sign of the end times. His wife Martha says he just needs to keep a positive attitude. Now Paul has become the manager of a grocery store, and needs to keep it afloat...

...and Scene!

Well, my tablet is officially packed up and my desk is gone so that means no more drawing Paul the Zombie until October. There will be at least a week that I miss in the midst of the next story arc, but that won't be until the end of September so you can still expect comics every Thurday as normal for a while. Next week is the end of the first arc, Tales from the Supermarket.

Thank you everyone for reading!

Time is Almost Up

As a few privileged already know, I am preparing to redeploy from the desert back to the United States. What this means for Paul is that there will be a period of silence that is remarkably ill-timed due to the change in chapters. The supermarket story arc is almost finished.

The reason it is ill-timed is that the internet service here in Iraq is prohibitively expensive and my service will run out at the end of next week. I am doing my best to have comics that will continue posting during my relative internet silence on regular schedule.

The new banners, however, will be a challenge to change at the appropriate time. I will not have internet in my personal living space, but I will have internet at work and at the SPAWAR internet cafes around here, so as long as I get all of my work online before the lights go out I'll be OK.

If I don't, then that's why everything will look pretty weird through the month of September.

If you read this far and are still reading, what's wrong with you? Go read a comic for goodness' sake! This is a webcomic not a novel!

Promises Kept

This might be a little later than I said it would be, but the Sudden Attack! Tee is now available from my Zazzle shop. The link is here: http://www.zazzle.com/danthezombie/.
Right now the tees only come in white because I can't get it to make the shirt red and Paul's eyes white. How obnoxious!
Also, I just signed up for deviantart.com to show off all of the non Paul stuff that I draw. There's not too much! :( but if you're interested, it's here: http://danthezombie.deviantart.com/.
Hope you enjoy the bonus comic!

Promises, Promises

It is the middle of July! And it's hot!

As I look at the midterm for my College Algebra class, I have let my mind wander and come up with three different eight-comic story arcs for Paul the Zombie! Which means there is more than one weeks' forethought before the comics are done!!

Although right now these are little one-liner descriptions, I am developing them into rough drafts so that I can draw them up on the computer.

Potentially there's enough Paul the Zombie to last for the next 24 weeks now! Plus some side comics that I already had in mind.

Here's hoping I can keep up with my own brain's pace!!! (and that some more people actually become fans of this comic strip!)

Lateness!

Sorry I was late on posting a new comic; I was busy juggling work, school, and the creation of a Dark Heresy role playing game for some buddies here in Iraq.
We ended up playing on Monday and having a pretty good time. There was a tendency for unnecessary violence, and I have tried to portray that in this week's 6-panel comic; this experience actually happened, although the dialogue has been altered and the names have been withheld.
Enjoy!

Ten Comics!

Yay! I have put ten weeks' of comics up for Paul the Zombie! Normally this calls for some kind of celebratory image, but I have nothing prepared. I'll see what I can throw together tonight to satiate peoples' hunger for comics.

The Sacred Tablet

My Wacom Bamboo has arrived in Iraq and it's only a matter of time before I'll be able to use it to conquer the world... er, I mean digitally draw the newest Paul the Zombie comic strip. Until then it's pencil, pen, and ink! And a digital scanner of course.

Decisions, decisions...

I'm thinking about changing it from 1 comic/ wk to 2 comics/ wk. If anyone thinks this is a good idea, please say so.

Here's the debate in my head (for 2 comics/wk):

PROs:
More comics means more to read
I enjoy creating comics

CONs:
I don't have much time to write comics as it is
I have homework to do first
